House at corner Burkitt's Lane. Original house C16 but now very much
altered, 2 storeys, and attics and cellars, timber framed and plastered,
roofs tiled. The upper storey formerly projected on South and West sides,
but South side (front) underbuilt and completely altered, C19 and later.
Part 1st floor is tile hung and part ground floor modern brick and sheet
glass, but at corner by Burkitt's Lane a heavy shaped corner post is
visible with billet moulding and the upper storey projects on West side.
3 windows at 1st floor, sash with glazing bars, two of which are altered.
Included for group value.

No 1 form a group with No 40 Burkitt's Lane .
Nos 1 to 6 (consec) and 8 to 22 (consec), Black Boy Hotel, and the Town
Hall form a group.
