A timber-framed house of C15 origin. Nos 6, 8 and 10 together originally
formed a Wealden house and the hall was jettied out to match the wings
when the floor was inserted in the C16-C17. 2 storeys. The upper storey
is jettied on the whole front, on exposed joists. The ground storey is
faced in brick and plastered. 2 window range, old leaded casements on
the upper storey and C18 double-hung sashes with glazing bars on the ground
storey. There is a central C20 glazed door. Roof tiled (old tiles).
The house was renovated in the C20 and the timber-framing exposed on the
upper storey. Graded for its composite group interest.
