C18 red brick house. Slate hipped roof. 3 storeys. 2 windows wide. Large sashes
with glazing bars in moulded cases. Ground floor wide 3-light bow with sashes
with glazing bars and moulded cornice. On left a pilastered doorway with cornice,
narrow rectangular fanlight and fielded-panel door. Plaque on front wall "Here
lived the novelist and poet George Macdonald".
