4/69 Box Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage. WOR / 1726 on tablet over door, first floor
heightened late C18. Flemish bond brick with vitrified headers,
thatched roof, brick stack to left. 2-storey, 2-window front.
Central door with flat hood, one 2-light casement to either side.
2-brick plat band to first floor, two 2-light casements. Right
return has some timber-framing exposed in gable; roof with raking
struts to collar, one casement in attic. Attached to left is C20
garage with tiled roof. To right is C20 extension. Rear not
accessible.
Interior said to have open fireplace with chamfered cambered lintel
and chamfered beams with convex stops.
