Lodge for Lowther Castle. 1806-10 by Sir Robert Smirke for the 1st Earl of
Lonsdale. Calciferous sandstone ashlar with modillioned battlemented parapets.
Two square turrets with central linking pointed arch, now blocked to form
recessed doorway with flanking side lights. Graded for group value with Lowther
Castle.
