Mill with 2 wheels. C17 or C18. C19 machinery. Brick, corrugated iron roof, partly
timber frame interior, 2 storeys with attics, gable end onto yard has 2 ground floor
casements and one first floor casement with glazing bars. One ground floor and
one first floor 2 leaf loading door, fixed casement with glazing bars over door.
Steep gable with 2 casements. Return on higher leat has blocked ground floor
arched openings, 3 first floor tripartite fixed casements with glazing bars.
The ground floor 2 leaf and the first floor single leaf loading doors. Interior
has pegged principal rafters and through purlins. Undershot fed waterwheel with
gearing disconnected but in situ. Formerly a corn and grist mill. A secondary
wheel is attached within a pit to the east. The temporary building housing it
is not of special interest.
