Early C19. Front to Church Hill of two storeys, two window bays; M-shaped roof forming a hipped end over each window bay in front wall. Slate roof to Madeley Cottage; modern pantile roof to St Mary's. Brown brick front. Sash windows with glazing bars. Doorways with coved canopies; St Mary's Cottage has a trelliswork porch and a four-panelled door with upper two panels glazed; six-panelled door with upper four panels glazed to Madeley Cottage. Madeley Cottage was the home of George Brightling, local historian.

Anne Boleyn's Well, Madeley Cottage and railings and St Mary's form a group with road bridge, Leoni bridge, culvert and retaining walls to Carshalton Ponds, No 1 High Street, entrance gates to the Grove, Honeywood Museum, wall and gatehouse, Honeywood Walk, Greyhound Inn, wall to east of Greyhound Inn, Church of All Saints, north churchyard wall and Nos 6 and 12 High Street.
