Later 1860s; Joseph Clarke. 2 long wings project westwards from north and south
ends of the Great Hall. The west ends of the wings have been joined by a one-storey
corridor. Exterior in a Gothic style similar to casing of Great Hall. Red brick
with stone dressings and tile roofs. Castellated parapet, 2 storeys. Ornamental
brick stacks in Tudor style. West end of each wing of 4 window bays with gables
over 2 inner bays. These wings probably stand on the lines of the C16 house;
that is, they approximate to the ground plan of Vitruvius Britannicus 1717 with
the exception that they have been extensively rebuilt. Graded II on account
of the group value of the whole building in relation to the Church and Churchyard,
Dovecot, East Lodge [See preceding and following items listed under Church Road,

and garden walls to north of Orangery and Beddington Place form a group.
