Abingdon House
TQ 3582 8/74
1899. Red brick with tiled mansard roof, pitched over gables, conical over corner
towers. Heavy, bracketed wooden eaves cornice. 4 storeys and dormers, 5 under
gables and corner towers. End and centre advanced under angular 3 bay towers
and centre double gables of 3 bays each with hanging dormer between. 22 windows
in all, sashes and casements with glazing bars.
Facade to Navarre Street similar but only 15 windows. Bay between 2 centre gables
has cornice carried up to form semi-circular pediment over central window
