SK 98 NE NORMANBY BY SPITAL OFF FRONT STREET

II

House. Mid C18 with C19 addition and minor C19 and C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings,
pantile roof with 2 brick gable stacks. 2 storey 3 bay front
with central half glazed panelled door, flanked by single
Yorkshire glazing bar sashes. To 1st floor is a central C20
fixed light flanked by single Yorkshire glazing bar sashes. All
openings have segmental brick heads apart from the central upper
window which is to eaves. To the right is a 3 bay 2 storey early
C19 extension with central door flanked by Yorkshire sashes and
above 2 further similar windows. The interior has a sunken
dairy, some C18 fitted cupboards and a plastered stud partition.
