Direction stone. Dated 1776. Tall stone, slightly battered with top block inscribed; 'ROAD TO BROAD GREEN'. To left return 'ROAD TO/ THINGWELLME/ THOROUGFARE'. To right return 'J.C/1776'. To rear, a cross moline (from arms of Earls of Sefton). Remains of iron object on top, possibly lamp.
