4/9 The Thatched House

II

Cottage. Late C18, late C19, C20. Mud and stud encased in C18
and C19 red brick, some colourwashed render. Thatched roof with
single ridge and gable stacks, and 2 eyebrow dormers with C20
glazing bar casements. Single storey and attic, 3 bay front with
off central doorway with thatched porch on slender timber columns
and panelled door. 2 light sliding sash in C18 brick to right,
with wooden lintel. Single 3 light sliding sash in C19 brick to
left of doorway, with segmental head.
