1/27 Leys Farmhouse


House. Mid C18 with C19 alterations. Brick with stone dressings. Corrugated
iron roof, 2 brick gable stacks and coped gables with kneelers. Rubblestone
plinth, first floor double brick bands, dentilled brick eaves cornice. East
front: 2½ storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with cambered arch and 5-panel door
with glazed overlight, flanked by single C19 bay windows with slate roofs and 3
plain sashes each. Above, a single central plain sash flanked by C19 tripartite
sashes with cambered arches. Above again, 2 gabled dormers with bargeboards and
2-light casements.
