Row of 7 cottages, late C18 (said to be 1776), now 6 dwellings: part of
group which formerly included other cottages to the rear (demolished).
Coursed sandstone (Rose Cottage has scored render), slate roof with ridge
chimneys of brick. Double pile plan, each single-fronted; through-passages
between No. 3 and Hose Cottage, and between No. 11 (Garden Cottage) and
Wyldon. Plain stone doorcases (Rose Cottage has wooden glazed porch),
one window each floor, mostly sashed except at No. 25 (Rose Cottage) and
Wyldon which are altered. Listed for group value. Nos. 1 and 1A Waterhouse Green(q.v. ) adjoin at left end.
