Good late C17 building. 3 storey 3 window facades to High Street and Church
Street, both having inoffensive C19 plate glass shopfronts with C18 projecting
balconies and ornamental wrought iron balustrades. Walls now covered in
stucco. Sashes in (narrow) cased frames with moulded architraves. Ionic
pilasters at quoins and short length of entablature with pulvinated frieze
over. Simple panelled pilasters either side of centre bays. Heavy wood
cornice with egg-and-tongue enrichment, carved modillions, paterae to soffit.
Hipped roof of well weathered machine tiles. Good simple staircase which
appears to be a later C18 insertion.

Nos 2 to 8 (even) form a group.
