Headstone, c.1727, to 3 sons of John Wilkinson of Old Park (q.v. Old Park
Farmhouse). Sandstone ashlar slab, c.0.6 metre high, with fruit and leaves on
shaped top edge. Double-scroll-shaped top over inscribed east panel; Thomas
and Jerard (sic) aged 7 and 4, deceased May 27 and May 31, and William aged
2, deceased June 21, all in 1727. Reverse has central inscription 'Memento
Mori' between recessed panels, the lower with low-relief hour-glass and
crossed bones, the upper with deeper relief of 3 children's heads and shoulders
emerging from large enveloping leaves, and similar leaves rising between the
figures, as if all were growing out of the ground.
