GV II

Two houses, formerly Poor Law house. C17 - C18. Diaper brickwork with rendered base. Thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays, with later rear wing on right, and C20 rear extension. Central door up 3 steps. Timber casement windows all with segmental heads. External gable stacks, that to left enclosed with later lean-to outshut with blocked door. Thatch swept over 3 dormers and hipped. Sun insurance sign No 227746. Internally, spine beams. The building occupies an important position by the
village pond, and is listed for group value.
