Milestone. Early C19. Sarsen, painted on front. Half-cylindrical
section with grooved top. Incised and painted inscription reading,
on left: TO WOOTTON BASSETT 7 Miles. On right: TO MARLBRO 5
Miles. Bench mark on base. The road was turnpiked in 1809.
