The Lynches

House. Late C17 with later alterations. Timber-framed with lath and
plaster infill, but partly rebuilt in limestone rubble and rendered.
Corrugated iron roof; large brick lateral stacks to rear. Three framed
bays aligned east-west facing south. One storey and attic. Three C20
casements and central gabled dormer. C20 doorway to left with segmental
pointed head. Exposed framing in right hand (east) gable of three square
panels to eaves, and straight tension braces. INTERIOR. Open fireplace
in central room with chamfered and stopped bressumer and bread oven.
Chamfered and stopped spine beams. Exposed timber cross-frames.
Timber-framed partition in western bay dividing staircase from pantry. Opposed
entrances at the east end of the western bay effecting a through-passage.
Interrupted-tie-beam roof trusses.
