House. Late C17 with later alterations. Timber framed with lath and
plaster infill, but partly rebuilt in limestone rubble and rendered.
Corrugated iron roof; large brick lateral stacks to rear. 3-framed
bays aligned east-west facing south. One storey and attic. 3 C20
casements and central gabled dormer. C20 doorway to left with segmental
pointed head. Exposed framing in right hand (east) gable of 3 square
panels to eaves, and straight tension braces. Interior. Open fireplace
in central room with chamfered and stopped bressumer and bread oven.
Chamfered and stopped spine beams. Exposed timber cross-frames. Timber
framed partition in western bay dividing staircase from pantry. Opposed
entrances at the east end of the western bay effecting a through-passage.
Interrupted tie beam roof trusses.
