SO 38 NE LYDBURY NORTH C.P. LOWER GARDENS

Service wing, now house. C18 and early to mid C19. Timber framed
wing to north with rendered infil panels, and red brick to south;
slate roofs, half-hipped wing to north and hipped block to east
(q.v. No.1 Lower Gardens). 2 storeys. South front: large stack off-
ridge on wing to rear and end stack to west. Right-hand block with stone
eaves band; 2 bays; glazing bar sashes with cambered heads. Centre
part lower with parapet ramped down to left; blind segmental arch
enclosing a C20 3-light casement on first floor and half-glazed door
and lancet panel on ground floor; projecting C20 conservatory in a
Victorian style. Left-hand range with C20 dormer to left, and first
floor casement to right; ground floor French casements to left, and
C20 casement in earlier door opening to right. Ha-Ha to south. Included
for group value
