Mill. Mid C19, Pad brick with old plain tile roof. 2 storeys and garret.
Toothed brick eaves cornice, and end stack to right. 4 first floor 2-light
segmetal headed casements, 3 ground floor 2-light segmental headed casements
to right; segmental headed boarded door between first and second windows from
right on each floor, and segmental headed wheel opening to left with 2 half-
height boarded door. 2 segmental headed garret wimdows in right-hind gable
end. One storey shed met back to right with segmental headed boarded door to
left and small segmental headed window to right. Interior: complete set of
fittings, including enclosed cast iron overshot wheel, gearing, vertical and
horizontal shafting, 2 sets of stones with housings leaked: "MAY AND HILTON
MANUFACTURERS FLEET STREET LIVERPOOL," and grain bins in attic with central
raised walkway. Mill pond to rear with weir. This mill is of particular
interest because of its surviving machinery.
