Farmhouse, now house, C17; 1676 on datestone. Timber framing with plaster and
brick infill; colourwashed brick and stone; old plain-tile roofs with brick
stacks. L plan. One storey plus attic. Brick front of 2-window entrance range
has a central doorway between 3-light casements, all with segmental arches, and
has 2 gabled dormers. Half-hipped roof has a central ridge stack. Sides and rear
are timber framed. Dated range, projecting from right has a similar casement and
dormer and has a stone gable wall, with stack, bearing the inscription
'RS/1676'. Right side retains some framing. Interior: entrance range has a
baffle-entry plan and retains a large open fireplace with stop-chamfered
bressumer, and a quarter-turn stair with wooden-latched plank doors. Dated range
has a stop-chamfered cambered fireplace bressumer.
