approx. 25m S of The Manor
House

GV II
Gatepier. Early/mid C18. Marlstone ashlar. Square pier, with banded rustication
and a projecting hanging strip, has a moulded cornice and a rusticated ball
finial. One of a pair of gatepiers at the entrance to The Manor House (q.v.).
Possibly removed from Adderbury House (q.v.) where a similar pair of gatepiers
survives in the stable block (q.v.). Included for group value.
