6/30 Farmbuildings to west
and south of Hole Bastle

GV II

Farmbuildings. C18 and early C19. Random rubble with Welsh slate roofs and
dressed stone around openings. Forms 3 sides of a courtyard. First, on right,
single-storey byre with 2 doors and window with chamfered surround between.
Next a 2-storey building with one segmental arch below and 2 windows above.
On left return a 2-storey barn, formerly a threshing barn with 2 central doors
on each floor flanked by windows and ventilation slits and then further doors
to lower stores at either end. Gingang with 8 square stone piers and circular
roof to rear of this range.

Opposite barn, on 3rd side of yard, single-storey, 2-span range with stables in
front and cart shed with 2 segmental arches behind. Gabled roofs with kneelers
and flat coping stones. Raised, cobbled walkway round 2 sides of yard.
