School and house, now one dwelling. Mid C19. Probably by R.C. Hussey. Squared
coursed lias with ashlar dressings and slate roof. L-shape plan, in Tudor style.
House: single storey with attic. Entrance front of 2-window range to right of
dormers with 2-light stone-mullioned windows. 3-light stone-mullioned windows at
ground floor with arch head lights. One-window range to right is former school
with similar 2-light windows. Central C19 plank door has moulded stone surround
with 4-centred head. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and stone stacks at
ends. Elevation to left of entrance front was originally the school and has
gabled porch to left and projecting gable to right with 9-light stone-mullioned
and transomed windows with arch and stepped head lights. Similar windows in rear
gable. All windows have leaded lights. Included for group value.
