Corn mill. Circa 1898-9 for William Rogers, miller. Brick
Flettons with orange brick dressings. Slate roofs with
gabled ends.
PLAN: L-shaped plan with carriageway through front range.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and attic. 6-bay front, the bays divided
by giant brick pilasters, righthand 3 bays are gabled. 6-pane
windows with top-opening lights and cement lintels.
Carriageway to left of centre with blue brick jambs. The
rear and side elevations have multi-pane cast-iron windows
with segmental arches in giant segmentally-headed recessed
panels and on the south side of the rear wing loading doors
on each floor, gabled at head with hoist-housing. Corrugated
asbestos first floor extension in angle at rear of front
range. Small louvred ventilators on ridge of roofs.
INTERIOR: The timber beams of the wooden floors are supported
on thin cast-iron columns. Queen-post roofs. Some of the feed
bins and seed cleaning and dressing machinery remain inside.
