Cottage orne, c1800. Knapped flint, brick,stone dressings, hipped slate roof with
oversailing eaves. 3 bays, 2 storeys, the ground floor of flint, the first floor of
brick, with stone plinth and first floor band; central brick stack; to each side a
brick one storey wing with embattled parapet and with forward embattled 2 window bay.
All windows Gothick arched headed, 2 lights, of timber, with Y mullion and slender
glazing bars. Central first floor arched headed blind panel infilled with yellow brick
or tile, with stone plaque bearing name Chaumiere de L'Etoile. Central Gothick headed
doorway, door with Gothick treatment.
