Gothic screen wall in garden to rear
of Nos.11 and 13

Garden wall. Probably mid C19. Rock-faced limestone. Built in
a Gothic style with chamfered pointed blind openings. The main
part of the wall faces north towards the rear of No.11
Daltongate (qv) and has a blind doorway surrounded by masonry
which projects forwards under a cornice with blocking course.
To the left and right there are niches below embattled
parapets, the right-hand parapet stepping upwards towards a
corner turret which has openings on the north and west sides,
including blind window openings to an upper storey.
