Originally pair of semi-detached houses, thrown together
during conversion into flats. This description will follow the
original design of the pair. Early to mid C19. Brick in
Flemish bond with stucco cement dressings. Roofs parapeted.
3 storeys over basement. 2 windows each. Steps up to
flat-arched entrance at right corner; flush surround with
cornice supported on pair of console brackets. 2 round-arched
ground-floor windows to the left, each set in round-arched
recess; the lower sashes of 6 panes of original design. All
other windows are flat-arched with gauged brick lintels. 6x6
sashes to 1st- and 2nd-floor windows, all rebuilt to original
designs. Basement windows with 3x6 sashes with margin lights
of original design. Entablature band to parapets. Stacks to
former party wall.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Despite later alterations, this building has strong group
value with Nos 7-11, 13-20 (consec), 33-42 (consec) & 47-48
(qqv).
