North Cottage
TQ 2853 SE 3/237

Dated 1609 over door, which appears reasonable, but the house is much altered.
2 storeys, 4 windows in all, irregular. Fairly high pitched tiled roof hipped
at left with 2 rebuilt ridge stacks. Tile hung 1st floor, plastered ground floor.
Modern casements of 2, 3, 4 and 6 lights; and a neo-Georgian bow at right, possibly
once a shop. Plank door under dentil cornice hood. Some alteration as early
as C18. Lean-to garage extension at left. Included partly for group value.

The Old Manor, Court Cottage, North Cottage, St Nicholas Cottage, Priors' Mead,
and the Walls and Gate Piers to south-east of Priors' Mead form a group.
