(formerly listed as No.33

House. Probably C17, remodelled in late C17 or early C18; altered. Single-depth
plan, almost rectangular, with extension at right-hand end. Red brick in Flemish
bond, red tile roof. Two storeys and 3 bays; the symmetrical facade, the centre
breaking forwards slightly, has a plinth, corner pilasters with moulded caps, 3-
course bands over both floors in each bay (those in the centre moulded), and a
parapet with flat coping; the doorway in the centre has a door with 6 fielded
panels, a simple moulded architrave, and a prominent moulded cornice on
consoles, and all the windows are 12-pane sashes with exposed boxes and gauged
brick heads. End-wall chimneys behind the ridge. The left gable wall has a 3-
course band, a tall 2-fight casement at 1st floor and a slate-hung gable with an
inserted attic window. Set back at the right-hand end is a short extension of 2
low storeys, with a modern door at ground floor, tile-hanging above, and a
hipped roof (small modern addition to the front right-hand corner of this, not of
special interest). Rear and interior not inspected, but the interior is said to
contain earlier fabric.
