House. Later C18 or early C19. Timber frame with brick nogging, with
weatherboard cladding above ground floor and the facade rendered below this,
mostly painted white; red pantile roof. Rectangular double-depth plan under 2-
span roof. Two storeys and 2 bays, symmetrical; plinth (painted black); central
doorway with a board door and a small pitched canopy on slender scrolled
brackets; 16-pane sashed windows at ground floor, with small wooden canopies,
and 12-pane sashes at 1st floor (8 panes in the lower leaf and 4 in the upper);
central chimney stack between the ridges. Both return walls have timber framing
exposed at ground floor, with close-studding of light scantling and some braces,
the left has a small window to the rear range and the right has a single-light
window at 1st floor. Rear and interior not inspected.
