Verandah attached to shop fronts. Probably early C20.
Cast-iron and glass. 6 bays to Lord Street plus a canted
corner to the left and a 3-bay return to Bold Street.
Cast-iron columns with flared enriched pedestals, plain
shafts, Composite capitals, panelled stilts with guilloche
enrichment, open-work brackets with sunflower motifs, and
plain beams carrying moulded gutters with cresting and
branched finials over the columns; curved glass roof.
Forms group with Nos 509-515 (qv) on the opposite corner of
Bold Street to the left, and with verandah attached to Nos
525-533 adjoining to the right (qv), and as is part of the
series which characterizes this street. Nos 517-523 not
included.
