Public house. 1929; by J.P. Osborn; altered 1937 and later. Brown brick in Flemish bond. Clay plain tile hipped and gable-ended roof. Brick axial stacks, gable-end stack on right with octagonal shaft.
PLAN: Central bar [originally divided into two bars and outdoor]; smoke-room on left and entrance hall on right; another smoke-room and service rooms in back range; verandah on the right side and private yard on left behind flanking quadrant walls.
Domestic Revival style.
EXTERIOR: Single-storey front rage, 2-storey back range with cellar. Symmetrical 4:1:4 bay west front, the end two bays with pyramidal roofs and carved stone garlands and festoons by William Bloye, the lower centre with pierced brick parapet and projecting round arch doorway with deep splay, porch on right and altered doorway on left. Large stone mullion-transom windows; quadrant walls with tile coping flanking left and right. Set back behind the flat roof parapeted centre is a 2-storey hipped roof range, its rear elevation with large flat roof extension on left. On the south side an arcaded verandah.
INTERIOR: Central bar has bar back with pediment and clock. Smoke-room has tall dado panelling and large fireplace with segmental arch and cornice.
