Pair of cottages. Late C18. Mass wall construction, painted and rendered; slate roof. No.96 has red ridge tiles with finials; red brick chimney shaft; cast iron rainwater goods.
Plan: mirror plan pair. Each cottage is one room wide with deep rectangular plan; rooms heated by end chimney stacks.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical, 2-window range. Central paired entrances under single wooden doorcase with brackets and projecting cornice. C20 glazed doors with small panes and low panels. Horned sash window to ground floor left (No.96). Boxed 16 pane hornless sash windows to the remainder.
INTERIOR: Not inspected but No 96 known to have Chinese Chippendale glazed cupboards.
