Group of nine headstones
approximately 5m SE of porch of
church of St Peter

GV II

Group of 9 headstones in 2 rows. c1700 to C19. Ashlar. Stone
to south end. Row to west: inscription panel has architrave
and broken pediment, flanking pendants of flowers, and top
pulvinated frieze and swan-neck pediment; verse inscription to
back. 2 stones to south end of row to east: one has broken
top, but good quality carving of flowers surrounding worn
cartouche; other, to Mary and Hester Hopkins, d.1704, has good
inscription in architrave with flanking pendants of flowers
and broken pediment, top cherub and rosettes; verse
inscription to back. 6 further C18 and C19 headstones.
