Pair of cottages. Probably early C18 with later, including
C19, alterations. Plastered, probably brick front with rubble
left return and some internal timber-frame; thatch roof with
brick end stack and axial stack to front of ridge; tile
outshut roof. Each of 2-unit plan with rear outshuts, that to
No.67 rebuilt and enlarged 1992.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Top modillioned brick
cornice carried over eyebrow half-dormers.
No.67 has segmental-headed entrance to left of centre with C20
door. Ground floor has segmental-headed window to left with
2-light leaded casement and early C20 bay window under hipped
roof to right with 1:3:1-light transomed, leaded, glazing; 1st
floor has 2 small windows with 2-light leaded casements. End
of stone return visible to ground floor.
No.69, which is larger, has segmental-headed entrance to right
of centre with C20 half-glazed door. Segmental-headed windows
to ground floor, 2-light leaded C20 casements flanking
entrance and similar 3-light casement to left; 1st floor has
similar 3-light casements.
Left return is of rubble, part demolished 1992, to reveal
internal cross-wall of timber-frame with regular scantlings.
Rear has catslide outshut to No.69.
