Milestone. Mid to later C19. Cast-iron. Triangular shaft with
flat-faced semicircular head, painted white, with raised
lettering painted black: "SEDBERGH & HAWES / ROAD" on the
head, "SEDBERGH 7 MILES" on the left side and "HAWES / 9
MILES" on the right. One of a series of six in this parish.
