GV II

Pair of houses. Late C18 with C20 alterations. Coursed
millstone grit with ashlar dressings, stone slate roofs and
end stone stacks.
PLAN: double-depth houses with mirror image fronts with doors
to centre and stairs behind.
EXTERIOR: 3 storey. Street front has 2 windows. 2 central
doorways with massive stone surrounds and C20 doors. Each
house has single window to each floor, all originally 3-light
flush mullion windows replaced by C20 casements to No.68, to
left. Rear elevations inaccessible.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but No.66 is reputed to contain
original fireplaces and beams.
