Base of a pier from Keynsham Abbey
in the garden of No.3)

GV I

Pier, possibly from the nave of Keynsham Abbey and to the
north of the Abbey site. Probably C14/early C15 in date. Four
separate blocks of fine ashlar about 2m in height. Octagonal
in plan with plain lower section and small clustered shafts
above. Currently used as a garden ornament about 40m south of
No.3 Abbey Park (not included).
Scheduled Ancient Monument.
