Pair of houses with shops. Probably late C18, old list
description suggests rebuilt after the fire of 1794.
Plastered; slate roof; stacks not visible from street. On an
important corner site with a curved frontage.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basement. 3-window front. Moulded
eaves board. Shop to left has a plate glass window and 2-leaf
door with overlight to right. Shop to right has C20 5 pane
shop window plus one light canted in towards the shop door to
the right. First-floor windows are 8 over 12-pane sashes;
2nd-floor windows are 16-pane sashes.
