Warehouse. c1850-60. Stock brick with hipped slate roof behind
parapet with coping.
5 storeys, 3 bays. Street front has full-height hatch rank to
left with flat hood, its openings now bricked in except on
lower 2 floors. 2 gangways from 2nd and 3rd floors of hatch
rank to East India Wharf. Small 2-light camber-arched windows
with Portland sills.
River front has similar details with hatch rank to right and
large, early C20 wall-mounted lattice-jibbed crane with
housing and further operating box at parapet level. Blank
return to east.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of one of the best remaining groups of warehouses on the
Thames, rising sheer from the quay and clustering about St
Mary Rotherhithe (qv), St Marychurch Street.
