GV II

House now dental surgery. Late C18/early C19 with later
alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond. Welsh-slate roof with
rendered moulded eaves cornice and brick end-stacks.
3 storeys and cellar; 3-window range. Windows are 8/8 sashes,
on 2nd floor smaller 4/8 sashes, all with painted channelled
voussoirs, keystones and sill-bands. Central entrance has
Classical architrave with tapering corniced pilasters, paterae
to broken frieze, and leaded cornice; decorative fanlight with
radial glazing bars; 6-panel door; 3 steps, 2 of stone and
nosed. Painted plinth, with cellar grille on left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: formerly owned by a tanning family.
