Pair of houses, now a school boarding house. c1850. Gault
brick with stucco dressings and hipped slate roof with 2 ridge
stacks. First and second floor bands, bracketed eaves. 3
storeys, 3 bays. Windows are plain sashes. Recessed centre
flanked by single hipped wings, and beyond, set back entrance
bays with porches. Ground floor openings have round heads with
keystones. Front has a central double sash in a projecting
surround, flanked by single canted bay windows, that to the
right with a cast-iron crest. Beyond, porches with pilastered
doorways and cornices, and 2 matching side openings. Above, 3
sashes with cornices, and above each porch, a plain round
headed window. Above again, 3 smaller sashes with eared
architraves. INTERIOR not inspected.
