Northgate Cottage

II

House. Late C18 and mid C19, with C20 alterations. Coursed
rubble and brick, with pantile roof and 2 brick gable stacks.
2 storeys plus attics, 3 bays, plus lean-to addition to east.
South front has a C19 flat roofed rubble porch with chamfered
four-centred arched doorway and half-glazed door, flanked by
single glazing bar sashes. To the right, a brick buttress, 3
setoffs, and a French window. Above, a central French window
flanked by single glazing bar sashes. All these windows have
segmental heads. Above again, two C20 hipped dormers with
glazing bar casements.
