GV II

2 houses now pair of shops, now single unit. Early C18, raised
and altered early C19, late C19, C20 alterations. Colourwashed
brick, render, slate roofs, one with stone coped gable.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey, 3-bay front with C20 shop front. To the
left 2 plain sashes to each floor. To the right a C19 canted
oriel with plain sashes and flat lead roof. Plain sash above.
Gabled dormer to No.54. In the side wall of No.53 the tumbled
gable of the lower earlier building can be seen.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
This building has good group value with No.52 Market PLace
(qv) and other buildings in the Market Place including the
Parish Church (qv).
