75 South Street. Detached villa. C.1838, builder unknown. Stock brick with gauged brick window arches, shallow hipped slate roof. Three bay two storey front over basement. 6/6 pane sashes with stone sills. Four chimneystacks, some with tall hand-thrown pots. Six-panel front door set between pilasters. Front ground floor windows retain original shutters. Rear elevation with slate-roofed verandah and lavatory addition to first floor carried on cast iron columns. Outshut to west side with side door. Listed as a very early Victorian house built in the Georgian tradition, largely intact and graced with elegant proportions.
