Garden seat in the grounds of Ascot
Place, 70m east of the house

GV II

Garden seat. C19. Stone. Rectangular plan with swept ends,
supported on 4 clawed feet in centre and mythical beasts at
ends. Backrest carved and decorated with shells, garlands and
scrolls. Dentilled capping with cable ornament. Square pillars
at ends surmounted with small urns. The seat forms part of the
garden listed II* in the Register of Parks and Gardens of
Special Interest in England.
