SUMMARY OF IMPORTANCE
This dual-purpose milestone and constabulary boundary stone was erected in 1738, is in good condition, and has inscriptions on two faces. One face details distances to Knaresborough and Skipton, and the other records its location on the edge of the constabulary of Killinghall. It meets the criteria for listing as an early and intact example with special interest in its fine inscriptions and dual purpose.
