Milestone, late C19, whitewashed stone. Triangular, downward sloping top. Incised lettering reads 'TOWNSHIP OF POULTON WITH FEARNHEAD' (top); 'TO LEIGH MARKET PLACE 10 MILES' (left); 'TO WARRINGTON MARKET PLACE 4 MILES' (right). Numerals slightly worn and not easily discernible.

HISTORY: Milestone erected between 1881/2 - 1894.
